Other: Design and build your own. It's more work but it's not nearly as expensive either.

All exhausts sound pretty much the same tbh. The 5Zigen, Remark and Fujitsubo are closest to what I’m looking for but at this point. I might just get somewhere reputable to make me this, if I don’t find an exhaust I love.

I agree they pretty much are all the same. None of them stand out. They're all mid. FL5s and FK8s just don't sound good at all.

They really don’t sound good at all lol. Thank the single exhaust port for that. Can’t play with pulse width or scavenging to make a unique sound.

Yeah it will always sound like crap until an individual port head comes along.

Just from watching YouTube clips the APEXI sounds significantly better than the others. I do wonder whether it’s just clever work with microphones.

Used to have another 4-banger turbo, and that was the Neon SRT-4. I went and listened to stock exhaust clips because it’s been nearly two decades since I owned one, and that was a great sounding exhaust.

Are there any aftermarket exhausts that sound most similar to that tone/volume?

Edit: Maybe Remus/Tomei/Borla (though Borla sounds too loud)?

Apexi sounds AMAZING in person, but it does drone 3-4k rpm pretty deep.

So the resonator delete and AWE seem to be the most popular options. If I delete the resonator and swap out the tips don’t I basically have a budget AWE? Seems like that might be the way to go, plus you can keep the valve. AWE touring only saves you 4 pounds and the resonator delete gets you most of the way there toward offsetting that. 🤔
