I have a 2022 Sport Touring Hatch (1.5L) - bought it new in December, 2021. It has 29K miles.

I conducted a test drive of the 2025 Sport Touring Hatch (2.0L hybrid) yesterday. To sum it up, I left feeling like I'm already driving the car that's right for me.

Some observations:
  • It felt to me like the turbo in the 2022 provided a better driving experience.
  • The hybrid was a different paradigm than I'm used to. Odd not hearing an engine.
  • The feel of the 2025, not surprisingly, was almost exactly the same as the 2022.
  • My 2022's tires required replacement. I went with Michelin CrossClimate2's. Driving the 2025 reminded me at how disappointing the OEM Continentals are. (and I'm a Conti fan - I drive the DWS 06+ on my BMW)
  • I kept looking for a tach, but it obviously didn't exist. The new instrumentation seemed to be information overload, but this was probably because the hybrid is a new paradigm.
  • I was not happy that the 2025 doesn't have fog lights
  • SiriusXM was dropped in the 2025. Honda now expects you to use CarPlay to listen to the SXM app. This isn't good.
  • It seems that the 2025 is aiming for a more "Hi Google" type of control paradigm. I prefer buttons.
  • Holes are drilled in the hatch to let water escape. I wish that Honda would offer a retrofit kit for 22-24 hatch owners.
  • The HomeLink (garage door opener) buttons are gone.
  • The 2025 is a very good car and owners will like it. It just wasn't right for me.

I haven’t driven a ‘25, but wasn’t happy with the changes so I snagged one of the last ‘24 Tourings. Very happy with my decision.

I spent a month driving an Accord hybrid, did not like it at all. Agree not hearing the engine on startup and when you start driving makes it feel like an appliance. My two 10th gen Civics were vastly more fun and involving to drive.

So if we don't get a Type R next summer I'll look for a used 2024 ST 6 mT or just get an Si. The 1.5T is awesome, much better than the hybrid.
