Any disadvantages in the Si of running Hondata opposed to KTuner?

Not really.

Most 1.5T owners and tune pros prefer KTuner. But it's mostly personal preference. For the money I personally think the touchscreen KTuner V2 is the best all around device.

I've also owned a Hondata Flashpro.

Notes
Two Si owners have reported minor clutch slip issues on OTS tunes. For this thread, FBO is considered intake, intercooler, downpipe, frontpipe at a minimum.
I'm also experiencing clutch slip but didn't mention it initially since it was happening even before tuning.
I added it now FWIW.
55 reports it's really a small sample but nice to see there are no major failures. Are there no more versions of the 1.4l using the weak rods?

I know you meant 1.5T. My understanding is that the Swindon built 10th gen hatchbacks using slightly weaker rods was a supply chain thing. Now that the plant is closed I have to assume all North American built 11th gens use the better rods.

UPDATE

Vehicle:
2023 Civic Si

Total tuned time: 6 months

Tuned miles driven: ≈ 7 000 km / ≈ 4 350 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

Tunes used: TSP Stage 1

Fuel used: 94 from Petro Canada

Additional related mods: 27WON downpipe, 27WON frontpipe

Problems/issues: None

Driving style: I'm starting to push the car a little bit more, hitting the redline with the downpipe is a lot of fun! I still spend most of my time in map 1 and sometimes map 2.

Tuning experience: Car feels amazing. I waited a year before doing anything to it and while I did enjoy it in its stock form, the tune / downpipe / frontpipe combo is really nice.

UPDATE: Not much has changed but since I just passed 20 000 km on the odo I thought I'd post an update. I've been waiting on the 27won RMM for almost 4 months now (their parts are long to get in Canada), but aside from that, I've been really happy with my setup for a daily.

Total tuned time: 1.25 years
Tuned miles driven: 22,000+
Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V2
Tunes used: TSP 1, TSP 1+, TSP 2, R365, Gin, and [redacted] (All DRob)
Fuel used: 93 or E25-E30 (depending on what turbo or tune I'm using that day)
Additional related mods: TSP FE1 - 2023 Civic Si (twostepperformance.com)
Problems/issues:
None
Driving style: Mother screams and my boyfriend is scared to let me drive.
Tuning experience: The TSP tunes are spicy and the custom tunes are wild. Reliable enough for me to use as a daily driver and enjoyable to beat on.

Total tuned time: 2 weeks

Tuned miles driven: 600

Tuning device used: Ktuner V1.2 with iPhone and tuner view app

Tunes used: Starter 21 w/adjustments

Fuel used: 93 octane

Additional related mods: PRL hi volume intake

Problems/issues: None so far 🤞🏽

Driving style: Very spirited heavier on the gas than I should be.

Tuning experience: Car definitely seems to have woken up. Im running the stage 21 starter tune with improved throttle response 3 w/less rev hang. Improved 2 boost target ramp. Advanced VSA on light ignition pullback/moderate throttle pullback (awesome). Turbo responsiveness set on 1-2-3 on the fly tunes. Early spool turned on and rev hang turned off. Also annoying auto start/stop off. It’s a little jerky in the lower gears. But I can live with it. I would like to know if the Phearable stage 1.5 tune is safe for the stock clutch? This is a daily driver and the only other thing I’ll be doing to the car is a intercooler and maybe exhaust.

I've been on the Phearable 1.5 91 octane tune for about 18000 miles with no clutch issues. It's been on map 3 this entire time too. My only other mod that could affect power is a Megan single-exit catback.

I'm planning on writing a quick (positive) update for this thread soon.

Hope is ok to ask if anyone tried both OTS tunes from TSP and Phearable. Are there big differences in drivability and fuel economy?

Tuned miles driven: 17,000 miles

Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2

I drive a tuned 10th gen but we share the same engine so my experience should be similar to the 11th's. John Vega's (Phearable) tunes tend to be smoother. I liked the TSP 1 but when I switched to the Phearable 1.5 and then the 1.5R, I was impressed with how dialed in the tunes were, top to bottom. The TSP tune had some jerkiness from time to time going from very light throttle to a heavy push on the pedal.
