interested to hear your thoughts on a compare and contrast between the two cars. GR86 was one of the top choices if I didn’t get the FL5.

Today I’m heading to my brothers house to drive his recently acquired GR86 so I’ll finally get to experience the car! Excited to try it. I love the proposition of lightweight, well balanced and affordable sports car. Seen a few vids of GR86 setup properly and hanging with big dogs on short tracks like Lime Rock. Impressive at less than 1/2 the HP of cars like GT3 and Corvettes

It arrived! Told the dealer not to wash it or prep the exterior. It will be going to a detailer shortly.

Looks like you got them to leave that waxy paint protection on. Nice. Will you remove it or have the detailer do that? I’ve been wondering if anyone took it to their detailer like that. Thanks. Great looking car.

The detailer will remove it. They told me to have the dealer leave it on, and not washing it saves them a day of work during paint correction.

I left everything on. Came off the truck straight to my detailer. They removed that film on the hood and the other white protective film. Been in my garage for 3 weeks now, plastic still on in the interior. I haven’t had time to drive it. A whopping 17 miles on it now…geez. I use it as much as my boat. Lol! Don’t have 3 kids!

Fantastic car. Paid $6K over MSRP. But having owned many (sometimes overpriced) BMW M cars over the years, I think Honda could have MSRP'd the Type R over $50K anyway.

Here is my CW. Love this thing! Just passed the 1k mile mark yesterday. I’ve owned it for about 2 weeks now.

Just picked mine up. All OEM “R” packages installed by the dealer. They also gave me the original wheels, wing, steering wheel and shift knob. Love the car!
