AGREED, 100%. How anyone can be self-aware and look at a set of TE37s and think, "I need to pay $4k for those" is just simply beyond my ability to comprehend.

CE28N is the choice of a connoisseur.
Why not? By now most wheels across brands have similar designs. Buy what you like and want to pay for. Worry less about other people’s choices and how they spend their money.

I have CE and TE. They are both great. I like them both on different cars.
Ok ok it's not really that fun to troll; in reality (most) TEs look fantastic, this is all tongue-in-cheek. There's a reason they're popular.

But it is definitely noteworthy just how many people pick the TE37s despite them being very, very expensive.

I'm looking very hard at the G025s. Admittedly part of that is because they're not so popular.

They are expensive. No doubt about it. The prices of Volks and other brands like Mugen and Advans has risen over the last 10 years. I’ve had at least 5 sets of CEs and the prices continue to climb. I bought my first set of Volks because I’ve stared at them on magazines since the 90s but was never able to afford them. Then I finally was able to and realized they are really good wheels. Light and strong for street, autox and track.

I don’t mind people not liking what I like and saying they are played out. To me, many brands copy their design or just copy each other. There are only a few wheels that have unique designs. Every brand has the same type of designs across their lineup. The Y, U or V spokes are so common, just pick a color and price point and you have a set of wheels.

Went to hondata for there jail break tour that start off at their office about two weeks ago. It was great event got some sandwhiches and some other goodies. Able to talk to the people and owner in regards to their work. Took about two hours and there was a wait. But from actual work took about 20-40 minutes. I got the tune with the backfire noise. I felt the power increase and initial use of the throttle was a little jerky but not sure if the ecu was relearning due to possible reset after. I had that backfire but notice the backfire sound a bit tacky but the kid in me likes it.

I added 20mm Bonoss spacer. I been running for about 3 months with 6k. I do put antiseize on the hub. I was contemplating +15mm but worried about stud length and not being flush enough. Decent mod for the money if you into a more flush look.

I put in ramair intake and my main objective was to get noise coming from the engine. It did bring noise but more of suction noise and not reminiscent of induction na motor I guess I was expecting to much. I applied some DEI heat shield to help minimize heat soak and was probably useless. If you ask if I would buy it again yes and no due to prl finally release and the material less prone to getting heat. It definitely remind me of older style intake instead of those newer intake with molded plastic.

Added the prl intercooler just because. I didn’t find any bogging with the car on a hot days but I got anyways. Building it similar to my 10th gen si. The quality of the part look great and didn’t really have any complaints except for the price. The mod felt more like a piece of mind type of thing not really hp gainer for my case.

I got my ballad downpipe. I didn’t want to pay a crazy price considering it basically a pipe with two bends. I am really happy I bought this considering it price to performance. I felt better top end power and the rise of the rpm was faster but loss a little bit of the low rpm. Also was able to put heat shield on. I had a shop do it since I was scared of the bolt breaking. I drove on for about 5k miles and do notice my exhaust has got a lot of brown tarnish but I don’t clean the exhaust. My car itself seem pretty clear.

I got my car dyno again with my modifications and was hoping for a little bit more. I am still running hondata basemap with the intake, intercooler, and downpipe map. It made about 300whp and with the current mods it make about 330whp. I might consider getting a custom tune but I am kind of done with the power modifications.

Definitely get a custom tune! You’ll probably gain another 30-40hp which would be significant. For how much money you’ve already thrown in, if you want or need the power, it seems like a no brainer considering it only cost $300.

I am debating about tune but I want to run the car how I want without worrying about it. With custom tune if I get bad gas it might not go so well for me.

you gained about 30WHP across the entire powerband after 3.5krpms and in some places even 40whp. Looks solid to me.

I was hoping around 350whp but not realstic due to mod just don’t pile on the gains. I am happy enough how my car feel. I will probably be changing tires to help put more power down and chase those certain times.
