Mugen oil cap for FL5?

Wondering if there is a Mugen oil cap that will fit the FL5 Type R?

Most look like they are not compatible with the K20C series engines.

I find it odd that Mugen has so many parts for the FL5 but not a simple oil cap? Am I missing something?

Yes it fits, but is difficult to remove.

The Mugen cap winds up recessed below the red beauty cover and you may need more room for fingers than is available.

I have an Mugen cap eBay replica on another Honda and checked the fit a while back. BTW, the eBay replica cap/gasket was cheaper than a new OEM cap gasket alone.

So I ended up writing to King Motorsport and asking them if Mugen makes an oil cap compatible with the FL5. Here is the response.

Hi,

Don't think Mugen is inclined to make an oil cap for the FK8/FL5 at this time.

Having bought many Mugen items in the past, I don’t like where the brand is going.

I've been running a Mugen oil cap since I got my car, although I haven't run the engine cover since day 2 and can't tell you about any issues with interfacing with the OE engine cover. Everything works and fits fine.
