Not launching from a dig. Just rolling

Motor mounts were checked, they are good torque to spec.

I was pistol gripping third to fourth and I was running it hard as hell so I palmed the shifter into second it's clearly user error no debate there

dropping pan checking for spun bearing or bent rod. Will figure it out and get it fixed it'll just take some time.

Once you get fixed then you should hit Jester04 up for a tune. Because I'm over 400hp and no torque steer. Also I make sure to be smooth on my shifts. Remember smooth is fast.

yea custom tune was one of the things i was considering, smoother would be better the basemap is a blanket when what i need is a jacket so to speak

will have pan dropped and check rod+bearing health within next 1-2 days. result to follow

at this point this is for science and my ability to sleep, just want the assurance that I can run the car hard without blowing anything, and for whatever good it does to have these things documented in a public forum in case anyone needs to reference this information for their own purposes god forbid. hope the accumulation of data is at least in some form helpful for someone else.

Change… your… valve springs. If you are convinced your motor is not running correctly start there. But you need to do that asap. If they are damaged and you continue to drive on bad springs it will tear up your motor.

Hate to say but an over rev usually kisses the valves and causes issues there. Had a buddy with a Gsr do that, also a guy a work did it with his 2.0 Accord. Accord still runs and drives but smokes like hell. He still hasn't fixed it yet lol. Says he is waiting for a customer car to come in and need motor, and yank parts of of old motor/core.

Yea I've also been advised that I need to inspect the forced induction side to confirm the turbo bearing.

I'm dumping on this thing it'll get back up and running. Sucks but I love the car and I learned my lesson.

Will likely end up doing

Turbo bearing check
Pending result, bore scope to confirm or rule out presence of foreign metals in cylinders etc
Valve spring replacement as recommended
Deep dive top end check for valve train

Thank you guys for your advice and input.

I'm expecting a potentially long and expensive road ahead but we will get this thing in tip top again.

Ive recorded the sound 4 individual times but unfortunately the two phones I have have very poor mic input quality, it's not intelligible from the recordings, you can't really distinguish it. Too much white noise terrible microphones.

I think you're over-analyzing and very likely nothing is wrong with your car. The speeds you describe are borderline over-rev scenario. The K20C1 is loud at certain RPM and creates tons of vibrations due to the lack of balance shafts.

Check this thread from a couple years ago. It's normal.

https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/engine-noise-at-1500rpm.51965/

If you can't capture it with your phone video then it's probably nothing to worry about.
