Does anyone know how to turn these annoying features off?

You can turn off lane assist when you are parked in the settings. I believe you can't use it while in cruise control and have to turn it on again.

I've never tested auto braking and don't think this can be turned off. I hope I never find out.

Yes, LKAS will remember your settings. Use the menu or button to turn it off and it will stay off until you turn it back on manually.

Unfortunately, you can't disable the AEB system which, if you live in a city, is frustrating as hell in some cars that are very sensitive. The FL5's seems OK, so far it's yelled at me hundreds of times but yesterday was the first time I actually felt it trying to fight me by applying brakes (as I mashed the accelerator).

Haven't checked yet but I believe you can turn the garbage adaptive cruise control off? It's utterly useless the few times I tested it unless you want to be a rolling roadblock/accident. I think you long press the CC button and it will put it in regular mode, I just keep forgettting to test this (plus I use cruise like once a decade).

I’m based in New Zealand and it seems as though even if you turn off lane asssit, as soon as you restart the engine it comes back on automatically.

Did you even try?
I did change the setting in the car for lane assist but only changes the sound, the strewing wheel still moves the car & also there isn’t any setting to change the auto brake

Is this AEB the collision mitigation braking system? If so, you can turn that off every time you start the engine. That is a dangerous assist. I turn it off every time on my fk8. Once I forgot to turn it off during a track outing and an easy point-by pass turned into chaos in a split second.

I have just learned the FL5 doesn't seem to have a radar unit to assist with the CMBS function. It seems to rely solely on the camera.

Yeah, you can change the ACC to normal CC by holding the following distance button on the steering wheel.

You have to put it in warning only in the infotainment. And I also switched off as many assists as I could on the gauge cluster. Lane keeping assist will stay off but collision will turn on every time you restart. So you have to turn it off every time.

You left Blind Spot Information System on! Boo! I turned that off day 1. I look anyways, and the flashing yellows get annoying.

Lol I always look also but blind spot does not bother me since its only a warning. What really bothers me is the car doing something that I don’t want it to do.

Heh, I think I gave up AEB since it doesn't remember and, so far, I've only had it apply brakes once - and I'd say I drive... aggressively. Good reminder though to make sure it's OFF on track.

We need someone who's an arduino wiz to make us a little controller to do AEB off & pedal dance at startup.
