I installed a JB4 I got from eBay. All the connections fit and were in the right spots, but after turning my car on, every light on the dashboard was on. It seemed to put my car in limp mode as well. It would stop me at around 3000 rpm, and my auto rev match stopped working. I didn't connect it to my computer because I'm waiting on a BMS data cable to come in. I want to see if this is something anyone else has dealt with. I imagine it's because I need to update the unit, but could this be an issue with the unit itself?

These units are generally not recommended. At best they work by lying to your ECU, feeding it false information in attempt to trick the ECU into doing something it otherwise wouldn’t. Your best option is to remove this item from you car and instead reprogram the ECU.

With all due respect, that's not what I'm asking. I understand that a real tune would work better, but my car is still under warranty for the next 5 years, so im not looking to void it. I want the power gains from the piggyback but without voiding my warranty.

With all due respect, any modification that is direct cause for an issue or damage that may need repair can void your warranty, even your Burger JB4 Tuner. Also, I'm sure if Honda wanted to or they had some reason to scan your ECU, they can probably detect and see the changes that the JB4 makes.

This is why a lot of people that modify usually will stay away from piggy back systems, issues always arise and they end up switching over to a stand alone system like Ktuner, Cobb or Hondata and flash the ecu. Maybe try disconnecting your battery, reconnect it and drive around and see if the lights go away and it drives normal. If not, uninstall everything and revert back and maybe check to see if that eBay seller has a return policy.

I'm not here to debate the validity of Burger Motorsports' claims. I asked to see if anyone else had a similar issue, Thanks.

I get what you're saying, I get why people want me to get a proper tune. The issue is they treat the JB4 like its some sort of foreign device that no one has ever used before. With the whole warranty thing, this idea is completely fabricated, the only people saying the warranty will be voided are people who've never used the device, and the people who say it won't are owners of this piggyback tune. I just wanted help with my issue, not a lecture on why the device is the worst thing in the world.
