Has anyone removed the CDV yet?

Sorry, I haven't and don't have any plans to. The engagement point on the clutch seems very consistent so I don't see it getting need. This was almost a required mod on my previous car though.

Have you actually seen the need for this on your FL5?

Just want a more direct feel. I’ve removed all cdv on my track cars.

I am more interested in the Sirimoto clutch master cylinder kit, which uses a Wilwood unit with a custom fit bracket. I haven't seen it yet, but apparently the FL5 has a plastic clutch master cylinder. When people attribute 2nd gear grind to the CDV, they are showing that they don't understand what they're talking about, it only works in one direction.

i wonder if it's improved over the 10th gens. people on the 10th gen forum said it improved the shifting.

I removed the Valve and I would do it again without hesitation. Much better 1st to 2nd shifts.
