So I took mine off after over a month of having it. About 3 weeks in, it threw a cel, can't remember the cel, but it was related to the intake.

I thought it was a coupler...the stock one. I tightened it and felt better. Cel never came back, but it started idling weird. Would hit around 1k-1250 Roma while in traffic.

It may just need a tune, but I decided to take it off. Not sure how the heck I'll sell it because I'm not going to lie about it.

My Stock intake...honestly feels way faster and perfect idle. Night and day response compared to the gruppeM. All that money for looks and a name. Horrible.
such an expensive piece sad

I tried all that. All is good for a few days...then idle is messed up again. For $1800 it shouldn't be an issue like this

Does it use the factory MAF or a custom one? Is it possible the MAF scaling has issues? Also, is it possible the MAF was dirty?
It uses factory MAF and no it isn't dirty. I'd assume a tune is needed at this point.

The car runs fine with stock intake; so a good idea it's the intake and not a dirty MAF

Was busy at work, apology of not able to answer the queries earlier.

I think you will need to tune it after install. My experience has been great because I did several iteration of tuning with Phearable. I don't think spending another $99 is not un-reasonable to get the most out of Gruppe M intake. It definitely make a difference on my FL5.

I'm not here to defend Gruppe M, don't get me wrong but I think tuning it will change your mind on the intake. Especially, you did drop almost $2K on it. One more step and hopefully it will put smile on your face.

No worries man. HKS needed a tune as well on my fk8. Just the way it is I guess
