Hi, I’ve just bought the car from the finance company so I can start my mod journey. Im a road driver rather than track and plan to do gradual improvements starting with some foundation mods to start. I am new to this so any advice would be much appreciated.
Right now I’m looking to make 3 initial changes starting with a Milltek valved exhaust (part resonated) with the basic even sized tips. I want to fit a PRL HVI and also a new intercooler.
Do the tips make a big difference to the sound? I’ve heard some people say yes.
What intercoolers can anyone recommend? I’m unsure as a road driver which type would be most efficient.
Are the modifications I’m planning a good place to start before moving on to more performance based mods and will the ones I’m doing be likely to give any gains where BHP is concerned?
My insurance company have said I can make these modifications but the BHP shouldn’t exceed 10%. I will be moving to a more specialised insurance company further down the line.
Thanks for any advice you can give.
(I have scanned other chats so apologies if these questions are covered elsewhere)
