I strongly prefer the original by a landslide. The red is what truly defines the interior. Now, it just looks like an Si with aftermarket seats and parts. Good luck keeping that dash and other components clean.

It’s a downgrade in every way.
Yeah I agree, Im sure some people like the lowkey look of black but I believe thats a minority, not a majority. The red absolutely makes the cars interior pop and be special.

Yeah espically when you find out that its just a stick on piece of plastic that just is painted to look like CF
Uh…no. The Honda accessories are carbon fiber with the same exact weave and color as the carbon spoiler. You can see the unfinished / unpolished carbon on the underside. Where did you hear it was faux carbon? LOL!!!

that’s insane. I don’t think I’d pay $300 for it honestly lol
LOL. Yeah. It’s not for everyone. There are definitely cheaper options for carbon interior accessories out there…and they’re not great. Weave design and pattern is all messed up. Color is meh. Gaps around buttons. No thanks.😂

its funny its kinda backwards. If the seats were black and the special edition was red (and hopefully with rear red seats) I think would be a pretty cool special edition but black seats, some alcantara and some black knobs. Seriously, car manufacturers are having a laugh, just change a couple dumb things, people will buy it.

Notice how they primarily show a red FL5 with the black interior. The only complaint I’ve ever heard of the red FL5 was that there’s “too much red.” This addresses that complaint while packaging it as a special edition.😂

Those accessories were not a full on replacement from the installation video I saw. Maybe for the door panels but the CF panel interior trim was just a slim CF layer with adhesive you simply stick on.

blue also looks a bit ridiculous with the red, unless you love super man. Like it works and I would still buy one but that was a reason for me not to buy it, that would look pretty nice with black interior.

I am not mad at the black, I just find it silly that these changes make a "special edition" lol. There is literally no effort from manufacturers, not just honda, this applies to tons others that have done the same bs

same with stick on carbon fiber selling for $700. lol

Yeah same here. Light blue is my favorite color, but the whole red theme doesn't mesh well with it. This package would look amazing with it.

How would this package make you want to do that? The type R in general should lol. I had the sport touring and the type R is astronomically a better car.
A single coworker with no kids wanted a fast car without spending a lot so he spent $30k on a used 2021 Accord Sport Touring 2.0 with 20k miles 2 months ago in November.

When he could have spent roughly $35k-$36k on a 2021 fg8 with 20k miles.

You can’t make it make sense. Some people just think differently lol. Less then a $100 a month difference in payment to go from an accord to a type r would be a no brainer you would think

hmmm, maybe he does not like the fk8? that car is not for everyone. And to go up to an FL5 you are looking at 16k more and the BS of finding one with dealing with ADMs and stuff.
Also an accord is gonna be a much more comfortable car, just because he does not have kids does not mean he wants to deal with a type R as a daily (seats + stiff ass ride).

As far as the black package making someone want to upgrade yeah thats silly lol, oh some black seats and some alcantara, this might make me do it. I could see maybe a cool color or more power or a better sounding exhaust but some black alcantara and some plastic buttons got some people heart fluttering lol

I’m not arguing that. Read back. You said they are faux carbon, which simply isn’t true.

I love Superman. 😐

But yeah, the red interior with the Boost Blue Pearl isn't a combination I'm in love with. The Boost Blue Pearl color is more the problem than the red interior IMHO and it generally works with the other paint colors in the palette.

Same thought! Especially this is the only CTR that comes with the full red interior like the OG EK9 did. I think the red interior is the original intention of the engineers and designers. They knew this might be the last pure ICE CTR so that wanted to give that classic OG looks to it.
