Hi all, its good to be back in the honda game. Ever since the debut trailer of the FL5, I knew i wanted one. When the FK8 first announced and came out, I wanted one but I never really got around to picking one up for whatever reason. I was too preoccupied in modding my current subarus and almost done with them now. When the FL5 came out, I also waited 2 years but since tariffs arrived, I wasn't sure if i can wait any longer and it doesn't seem like Honda is going to release a refresh model for it. So I picked this CW up on 3/28/25, it was a tough choice between the Boost Blue and Championship White as the blue in person did not look bad at all. But eventually I went with the CW because I wanted it the most. I already know this is a car that I will keep in my collection forever.

Here are some stuff that i aleady got for the car. I don't have all the parts here yet but its a list of what I bought already. Aimgain stuff will take a while to get here. There are plenty more i want to get so just you wait, when i have the money that is 😂

I also had a 2009 Civic Si FA5 before and you can see what i've done to it below. My goal for this FL5 is to kind of copy that but also add on to it.

Added the oem high rise black floor mats to save the red ones and the fj craft trunk mat in red. The trunk mat to my surprise does not fit well due to the right side extending up and covering a small part of the sub cover. I mean its no big deal but still. The black high rise carpets are a nice touch that I dont mind it being black instead of red.

Looks good 👍🏻
Something to consider is Tuxmat for full coverage a quality option with perfect fit and I’m very happy with them . I have a weathertech for the rear and you have to trim the area around the subwoofer and it even has a perforated line that shows you were to trim .

Here’s a couple of pictures for you excuse the poor lighting in my garage. I live in so cal so it’s an over kill but again it’s a great option and gives you full protection.

Hmmm I might have to look into that trimming part but it doesn't bother me for now lol

So thats what it looks like for the fl5. I have a set of tuxmat in my 4C and I like em for that car cuz it matches the seats actually but I dont plan on carrying cargo or making this car dirty cuz I can use my forester for stuff like that. This is purely a dry duty car haha

Congratulations on the pickup. Nice stable of cars you have and both Subaru’s are well modded. It would be good to get your impressions of them
vs FL5.
Where did you get the Honda rear ac kit from?
Thank you

Yeah it’s an over kill for me also but again I really like them. My FL5 is my pleasure car so in a little over a year I only have 2400 miles lol. I have a Honda CRV that I use for my trips to Costco and Home Depot 😆
My Type R is strictly for trips to the beach and car shows 👍🏻 The only thing I’ve done to it is what I posted here and the Oem plus CF wing and PRL stage 1 / Aluminum air intake heat sink and ceramic coat .Planned on leaving it stock but got weak lol. Excuse the knife in the engine bay it was for a knife forum I’m on lol.

thanks! hmm if i were to compare my subarus specifically vs the stock fl5, i would say my subarus are much more raw in terms of feel and of course they are given that they are from the mid 2000s. However the fl5 is no slouch. When I first drove it home, I thought it was a very tame until I took it out again and drove it in Sport and R+ mode. There is a modern rawness to it that i cant explain. Like its precision, comfort but inspired with confidence, extremely planted. Its a couple leagues above my subarus. I even dare to say its 1 step above the Sti too. But I will need to change out the exhaust so i can drive better if that makes sense. i do love the fl5 and im happy with it. It has the perfect balance between luxury and a sportscar at a good price point. A premium car if u will and its a Civic.

heres the link to the rear ac kit. click on the fl5 version

nice! and yeah i dont ever keep my cars stock as you can already see from my mod list haha. I've had my 4c for like over 5 years now and ive only put 1500 miles on it lol but i have a feeling that im going to put more than that on my fl5. not because i dont like the 4c but more so im more paranoid with taking it out in the public and being in the city, i cant really take it anywhere like a regular car
