I'm looking for a solid phone mount that attaches to the dash. Currently have an iOttie Easy One Touch (suction cup, windshield mount), but it tends to rattle around on bumpy roads and interferes with my sunshade. Want something that attaches to the dash. Don't want a windshield, vent, or cupholder style mount.

Any recommendations? So many options out there it's kind of overwhelming.

I live in Upstate NY. It has not fallen off yet. The magnet is pretty strong.

I have the Proclip with the non-magnetic mount, it's perfect. I use it for virtually any sort of driving short of track events and it holds up fine. Also relatively easily removable if you don't use the adhesive it comes with.

Just note you need both the mount and the holder when you order from Proclip, so it's not a cheap option. Mine came out to ~$80 but looks like they're on sale at the moment.

nice! looks like that's the way to go. Not a fan of the adhesive magnet mounts either.

He was saying there is adhesive on the actual clip that attaches to the dash. It just helps to secure it.

I've used Proclip on every one of my cars since my 2011 GTI. I also use it for autoX data purpose, and haven't had issue of the phone falling off of it(non-magnetic mount though).

How does the proclip attach to the vent? Does it clamp on like a vice?

It does have double-sided tape, but I don't know if it does much. The actual clip locks in pretty well.

Cool. So you guys didn’t bother with the adhesive? I would think it would be a pia to remove it later with the adhesive. I had an offroam in my Tacoma that worked great but this one looks clean for the r

I kept the double-sided tape on. It will be super easy to remove. A little heat and it will come right off.
