Dumb question, but when I dump the clutch in neutral, it feels like the clutch catches or sticks at about 75%. Just before it’s fully released.

If I push it in/out normally and while driving, it’s smooth.

I just noticed it because I just let off the clutch really fast at a light once I put it in neutral and it felt like it’s sticking towards the top.

only present in neutral and only when dumping clutch. I don’t dump the clutch when actually driving and it shifts smooth other wise.

Sounds like the clutch delay valve in action. It exists to soften the shock of pressure plate engagement if the pedal is released quickly like that.

Nice, figured it was something along those lines.

It’s been tested throughly and definitely works.

And it is worst as it gets colder. When super cold, it might be hard to drive the car normally.

I decided to remove the CDV in every car I owned that had one. Way better in all conditions!

Makes sense, it’s 6 degrees where I’m at today. Coldest day of the season so far and first day I noticed it.

I’ll have to look up some YT videos on removing it.
