Thanks man, I'll check them out.I went with this one from Kollektiv Werks—a bit pricey, but I’m quite happy with the quality of the frame and ease of install.

zip ties to my grill lolFor those of us that need to have front mounted plates, what are you guys using?

BC requires front plate, but I don’t. Cheapest option. For those of us that need to have front mounted plates, what are you guys using?
@TO_FL5_CW I believe will be going. Since you’ll be having FL5 soon, better join the FB group. I believe 80-90% of them are from TO.Curious, is anyone here participating in the Unity/Hondata event (in ONT) next month? I'd like to go but I'm out of the country unless I can get someone to take my car there for an unlock lol.
Had a similar Surrey Honda experience with my FK8. They didn't d/c my dashcam, and my cabin cam caught it all.I hope so. Need all type R owners to be aware of these scum at the service dept. I talked to the finance manager last time when I was picking up my compensation. He seems like a decent guy so hopefully if he's aware, he'll help us out.
Unreal. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt but now this is beyond the limit.
That sounds fair. I guess, I’ll mention your name there once I got time to do my PPF maintenance lol. I wanna watch it too.Update regarding the Surrey Honda service fiasco:
The service manager called me a few weeks ago, asking me to meet with him and have a conversation about what they could do to prevent further joyrides from their junior techs. I went in last Friday and sat down with them. I told them that there needs to be more supervision when driving specialty vehicles like a Type R and that the junior techs need to understand that if they do anything stupid on customer's cars, there'll be heavy punishments. They let me know that the service tech that joy rode the last fk8 owner's car has been suspended and put on maximum supervision. They also said that they now only allow 2 senior techs to work on cars like the Type R. I let them know that while I appreciated them doing all these changes, if I find out that something like this happens again, I'm gonna have to contact Honda corp directly. They said that was fair and that they were willing to do some stuff for me. The service manager asked me to contact him directly in the future for all service inquiries, and that he'd introduce me to the techs that would be working on my car while allowing me to watch them do it. They also said that they'd be happy to install any mods that I had in mind when I bring it in again. I let them know that I'm grateful for their efforts in trying to retain me as a customer and that I'd be willing to give them another shot. Will be posting my thoughts after the first service there.
If I recall, they contract out some other detailing shop to do the ppf/ceramic stuff. That sounds fair. I guess, I’ll mention your name there once I got time to do my PPF maintenance lol. I wanna watch it too.![]()
