Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

Does anyone know if the allocations provided this far is for the first batch? Or for the whole run?

Something like 17 for the first batch. Haven’t heard about when the second match will arrive probably 1-3 months. 500ish total run over 3 years.

Right. However there are 237 Honda dealers in Canada with some getting 0 and others getting a handful. So is 1 car over 3 years realistic for some smaller dealers? Or are they just feeding some BS?

Well I just got my deposit back from Sisley Honda today. As I went in to ask them whats going on with the order. They tell me they know Honda released the info. But they are doing a lottery and will provide the link when they have more info. I was like…. Interesting you mean the strip link that other dealers are already handing out. They didn't say anything. They couldn't tell me what number I was. So pretty much it was a pipe dream lol. Well good luck guys.
I guess at least I have my backup plan with the GRC as I know I am number 4 at the dealer as I saw where I was on their ordering system.

Ya I think mine is 1 over 3 yrs too... Toyota so bad here, I emailed multiple dealerships awhile back and only one wrote me back told me they can't order it and that was that. But either way if I can't get 2024 CTR, maybe I'll consider GRC, not there yet with desperation.

By 2024 they might fix the Golf R interior mind you it still looks fugly.

Calgary likely getting 3-5 on average per dealer. The ones I spoke to were all within this range.

It's a large population centre. Makes sense that a dealer is getting more there

Sounds legit. Just got home from signing all the paperwork, I was no.2 on list. Mid sized Ontario dealer and they were allocated 3 cars over the 3 years, with potential for perhaps an additional few cars but no guarantees. For reference they sold and delivered 5 of the last model year CTR and were expecting more but this is all they got as of now.

First car arrives in next 3 months with second (mine) later summer / early fall for potential delivery.

Paid MSRP plus freight and a nominal PDI.

That’s what I heard at first at the dealer I originally was working with. Then they changed their tune to 1 over the whole run which has me scrambling finding a backup plan

FYI no dealer is getting more than 3 a year for total max of 6-9 over 3 years. Toronto, VC and MTL largest dealers are getting the most on avg.

It's seems there are dealer allocations, and another (maybe the same) Honda portal (some dealers are stating this, while others have 0 idea, I'm assuming those that haven't been informed will be getting 0, but I'm guessing here).

It seems nothings is fully confirmed timing wise yet either just very roughly provided time frames by territorial managers to GMs.

I had a reservation at Whitby/Oshawa Honda. Sales guys had no clue the car went on sale and sure enough, their allocation for the year (2) were sold.
