Had mine done this week at a local shop. Dual delete and bought the polished versions of the tips from Amazon. Happy with how it turned out. Comfort mode its just a little louder overall and when switching to Sport or R+ it is noticeably louder even in the lower rev ranges. Haven't done to much highway yet but I'll probably keep it in comfort during those cases.

Couple of notes on the exhaust tips that the shop talked me through. Since the middle muffler is longer then the sides, to get all 3 to match up evenly they had to extend out the tips just a bit with couplers, probably about an inch. They don't stick out past the bumper so no risk of accidentally touching if you are near the trunk but you can tell they are a little further out.

This is a good holdover for me before I'm ready to go full cat back. In the meantime I can put that money into a higher end intake which from what I've seen gives a better performance boost then an exhaust anyway.

For those who have cut off their OEM tips (yeah, I know, insert addadictome joke here) I would love to try an experiment with using a bigger middle OEM tip for all three… if anyone doesn’t need their middle big tip anymore and would be willing to donate or sell it to me for cheap PM me, I’m in the hunt for 2 more. Thanks!!

I was curious about removing one or the other resonators. Instead I removed the whole 26 pound muffler system and tried a few things such as running a race Flowmaster 3" in and twin 2.5 out, but still not very loud. So I ended up just running a short stainless pipe from where I cut the pipe and into a stainless splitter. It simple, and sounds pretty decent. Still it's amazing how tame a straight out exhaust is on this car. I think removing the larger res might give it more of an aggressive tone/crackle. I need to think about this because as is, it's a fair bit louder but I don't want to over do it.

I got most of the stuff (current set up) from Summit Racing and it was like $120

Last week I had a local shop cut out the two resonators, and I'm pleased with the new sound - I'd call it sporty. Hopefully in time an obvious best option emerges, but this is great and cheap for now.

OK, here’s a video so you can hear the difference of modified stock exhaust between…

1- dual resonator delete mid, and front.
2- dual resonator delete mid and front + middle muffler delete + non-resonating exhaust tips

#2 all the way! Sounds as good as it's probably going to get being a turbo buffered car.

No, 4.25 inch is probably the widest that could fit without touching. The other issue is there’s not much room between the mufflers end down there and the tips. The bigger the outer diameter tip the longer it gets and even the shortest 5 inch length tip that I could find sticks out an extra inch or so from OEM. The ideal would be if somebody made a tip that is 2.5 inch inner diameter, 4.25 inch outer diameter and only 4 inches long like the OEM center tip. Unfortunately, Honda doesn’t sell the tips as a separate part. You have to buy the whole exhaust system. Would be amazing to be able to just buy two more OEM center tips and weld them on the outsides. Or take the Integra type S black tips and be able to weld them direct on.

I would really like to do this but curious if a delete would void warranty.

Just deleted both resonators today. Sounds so much BETTER! Still quiet when it needs to be but sounds good when the valve is open. Really happy with going this route instead of a full system. Now I can buy the eventuri intake system and charge pipe!

Can someone explain the sound difference between stock versus one resonator delete and two resonators deleted?

Did u flange or weld the straight pipe? I'm looking for the flange size as my muffler shop wants me to purchase them 1st. Is it 2.5" at the resonators?
$100 VS $3000 is worth a try
