@kwantfm

I noticed that you have a ZC6 BRZ. I have the MTEC detent springs, TRD quickshifter and Whiteline transmission mount and the shifter is extremely tight. I'm curious if the Acuity shifter cable bushings are a worthwhile modification.
Hi,

First thing is that I think that Acuity only makes products for Hondas...

I have a CUBE Speed short shifter installed on the ZC6 and had purchased stronger shifter springs from CUBE Speed. The shifter was extremely stiff, so I called the owner of CUBE Speed and he said that restoring the stock shifter springs would reduce the stiffness, which I did. The shifter now feels fabulous.

I phrased my question poorly, I'm looking at Acuity bushings for my FL5.

I installed the stage 2 kit with hybrid racing detent springs and derlin chicane shift knob. It's a world of difference. It felt great before the detent springs but after it is very stiff and returns to center with force. I love it. Buti came from a Shelby GT350 and the shifter in that was amazing. I like the notchiness. It'll probably too much for most with both the stage 2 and the detent springs, buti love it.

Its actually easy to do, just a little tedious. Taking apart the trim is easy, its just trying to remember plugging everything in after that can be an issue sometimes. I recommend having a retractable magnet for the bolts under the cup holder and to be careful with the spacers and retaining washers that come with the short throw adapter, they dont hold together all too well.

I also made it a little easier on myself by buying a 2nd OEM lever assembly, installing the upgrade parts on that and just swapping it out for the existing one in the car.

Surprisingly I used Hybrid Racings short shifter install video as a reference to uninstall and reinstall the shifter.

Do you know the part number of the OEM lever assembly by chance? The threads on my sons shift lever have sort of got messed up and wanted to replace it.

Not sure if its 100% the same across all platforms, but for my Sport Touring the part number is 54100-T20-A01.

You can check Honda Dream Shop for specific trims to make sure its the same.
