Translation is still tough but this is probably one of the first road tests I've seen. Hard to make out much detail but was looking at speed vs redline where he hit 104km/h in 2nd and 144km/h in 3rd. So this does match up against the following using 265/30/R20 for tire:

Here's the same for FK8:

Honda increased power by nearly 3% but looks like resulting speeds at each gear is just over 5% higher. This means we could see a 2% decrease in acceleration, but higher speeds in each gear.

This may benefit some tracks to avoid shifting another gear before a turn but hurt in some other tracks that never had these problems.

Note also that 3% increase in peak power doesn't mean anything without seeing a dyno comparison. There's always a chance that area under the curve there is higher than 3% increase or even lower. We don't know.

End of day, I don't think anyone should be too concerned about minor changes in acceleration. It sounds like it will be one of the most driver focused cars and if this is the only drawback against FK8 while having a long list of improvements, that's what really matters. I think it's important that power alone doesn't define a car's potential. The platform it rides on is something you can't change much.
Top speed 186mph?

Thought the FL5 had a 265/30/19 not 265/30/20?

Do sneakers count if I put wheels on them?

Typo when I typed it. I definitely entered R19 in tire calculator. Fixed.

Also noticed it was double posted cus first time I tried to post site was unresponsive to even load pages. Deleted the double post.

Summary I guess is we might see slightly slower acceleration based on all data we have today that may contribute to some of the slower lap times. However, I doubt that along makes it an inferior car compared to FK8.

That video made my day, thank you for sharing that. Noah was impressive, not just a cute kid.
I liked the fact he actually turned the control knobs instead of just pointing to them, so you could get an idea how they sounded and moved.
Other reviewers could learn something.

Thanks for watching! And I agree, kids bring a different perspective to things. He really enjoyed that sound and tactical feel of the knob. Something I totally missed
