When we timed the cars originally on our track comfort vs +R was only .5 seconds difference. (Comfort faster) There was in no world where the CTR was going to catch that car with how the GR was setup. But funny enough the car stayed about 1.5 corners back in 15 minutes.
I'd agree, its not so much about time as it is feel. SRF may work 5 track days it may last two depending on car. Brake fluid like oil is a consumable. With SRF you may get a slightly soft pedal but it typically won't fall off to the point you lose brakes. However if you are feeling that soft...
Its going to depend on the track and how much air/moisture gets in system. Great example is after boiling fluid, pedal will come back, feel firmish after fluid cools. But the next time you get heat in system, threshold for boiling will be lower. So you may have gotten 10 laps now pedal is...
I will tell you first hand DO NOT F*** around with the stock brake fluid on track. We just did our Elantra N vs CTR video and after 5 laps, pedal went softer, within two more corners pedal went to floor and there was just enough brake power to slow down from 25MPH.
Swap it to whatever, Motul...
Mugen did research on switching the adaptive dampers away from ZF and found nothing is comparable for adaptive units. The oem who does the ADS module only works as a 1st and 2nd tier supplier its not a reflashable unit. Thats the most logical angle for aftermarket is to create a programmable...
Since this is a car I wanted to buy, not just for the content sake I have far less desire to use it as an excuse to make videos on it. So this is really a one off until I start messing with the car more.
The Type R/Type S is low hanging fruit for content, they get traffic I think thats why...
It's more about the constant questions of why people love a FWD car pushing 50k. I had a guy say I was crazy to get one when I could get an old M3, M2, C7. So I think in some ways we have some screws loose but at same time used it as ammo to explain it a bit more. (Respectfully)
The problem with owning the Bugatti of FWD cars is people want to be close to it as though you are a celebrity. I usually pull off in middle of a crowded highway with my pen and get out and sign an autograph in the center lane and tell them about VTEC on my exhaust cam shaft. You gotta just...
I had a 2nd gear grind around 1500 miles, going from 1st to 2nd at 2800RPM. No real explanation. If its almost always for you, something mechanical is wrong, probably issue with 2nd gear set.
I don't know how any of you can drive these cars as dailies without having massaging seats, 60 way ambient lighting ,power fold down screens, powered running boards, ionizer, fragrance options, hands free traffic assist, auto trans, heated armrests, self leveling air ride, soft close doors...
Zero issues but swap brak
E
No issue however if you're going to 20 minutes sessions at a minimum you should have brake fluid done and potentially better pads other than that it's good to go
Test driving new cars and judging power if fuel trim learning did not complete or done on the ECU end can make for a bad first impression. (Dealers often let cars idle too long, or get in a drive the doors off etc) The ITS makes more TQ and power than CTR on a dyno as an FYI.
If I am not mistaken if thats the same dyno, it was at nearly 100F?
The FL5 on track is widely known for pulling timing with heat as well. Personally, I don't care. Both are fun cars not racing/comp cars. If I do a track session, the tires are falling off before cooling/timing is getting...
