Thanks, I did a number of searches but didn't find anything on production numbers. The main reason I asked is the dealer I purchased the car from said they sold 4 last year and mine was the first one they got for 2024.... that's not many per dealer if you think about it.
That's probably good overall.
I was thinking if they were a limited edition, they might hold their value better, on the other hand the more they make, the better the availability for parts and support.
... for the US market (and for other countries as well if anyone knows)? Also, if you can, list your plaque # ... that might give us somewhat of total as well? Thanks.
Mine is a 2024 / R-19,878 - USA
Man, I'll tell you what! That was a long day... they were swamped and I had to drive 80 some miles home at night.
The number of pix here shows how excited I was !!!
I drove my buddy's Z06 yesterday but have nothing to compare it to. I can say that thing is an animal! He has less than 1K miles on it and I was afraid to really nail it... it's so freaking fast and I didn't want to accidentally wrap it up. He drove it and did give me a quick spin up to 102...
Holy SMOKES! Right on brother! 65 here. You and I should be running wheelie bars!
I bought this thing sort of because I had a chance to buy a 5K mile 08 S2000 back in 08 for $27K and then decided on a Porsche Boxster S instead. I always regretted not getting the Honda, so I guess...
Don't worry, I'll be 66 soon. It'll be alright. :headbang:
I was thinking about removing the rear wing and pretending that what I thought I bought was an Accord EX :what:
I could have flipped a coin between black, white or red ... I really liked the red because it seems it fits the interior the best but the color grabs too much attention for my liking, so black or white seemed to be the ultimate choice. There was a CW car at a dealer nearby but pretty sure...
I have a small book of Texas tickets (and warnings) from Plano, Dallas, Garland and surrounding areas. I got 2 tickets in 30 minutes one day. Not a good day. :( Sounds like they are still at it.
Thanks. I think upper management wants to see financing or at least a trade in on the books so they generate more money over MSRP. A cash sale is actually a disadvantage these days.
Hey! I lived in Plano! Town bluff and Parker. I miss it.
340 miles, purchased 8 days ago. It was tight to start with... 7 miles at purchase but around the 200 mile mark, it is running a bit snappier. :headbang:
It makes me nervous with depending on the US mail to not lose my ECU. I wonder if there will eventually be a way where the flash can jail break the unit in place and all in one shot (much like Unitronic does for the GTI and R Vdubs)?
I bought a black FL5 for MSRP but the catch was I had to finance it. It came in just under $50K. The dealer said I can pay it off with no penalty so I plan on paying the car off on the first payment.
I looked at a blue FL5 the day before in Massillion, OH and they had a paper tag in the window...
I don't know about the Civic R but I fit a vintage 4x12 Hiwatt SE4123 cab inside a Calzone road case in the back of my Acura RSX-S one time. The glass came about an inch to the corner of the road case but the hatch closed.
The Civic roominess is at least as big as the Acura, but I'd have to...
