Also note if using gear oils:

GL4 gear oils are generally better suited for manual transmissions.

GL5 gear oils can be hard on bronze bushings and shift forks. I'm not sure if the FL5 transmission uses bronze, but it's common in other cars/motorcycles I've owned.

that stuff is so thick though. like twice the cSt of Honda Fluid. i would go with Redline MTL or stick with Honda fluid.
Gear oil is rated different vs motor oil. It's very close to 5w20 or 5w30

yea, but it's still extremely thick compared to OEM fluid. 27won did a writeup on it but they used the "LS" version which isn't necessary with helical LSDs. i would use regular gear 300 and not gear 300 ls if you do use it.
