Hi everyone,

I’m making this post because I’ve been experiencing consistent resistance when shifting between all gears. The dealer checked it and said everything was fine, but it definitely feels different from when I first got the car.

To rule out any potential over-revving or mis-shifting, I checked with my father, who picked up the car from the dealer (it was purchased from a dealer outside the city). I then ran a diagnostic using the Autel AP200, and the report seems clear. However, the tool appears to misidentify the car model. I didn’t find any other errors of concern, but I recall someone mentioning that the Autel AP200 can check for over-rev codes—perhaps I missed something. I’ve attached a screenshot in case it helps.

Assuming there was no over-revving, I suspect the issue might be related to the shifter cable, bushings, or the shifter itself. If anyone has insights on diagnosing this with the Autel AP200 or troubleshooting the shifter, I’d really appreciate your guidance. Heard the shifter and the bushing can get loose randomly but again I don't have too much experience with this.

Car info:
2024 FL5, 1000 km. No grinding, no gear pushing out. I let it warm up always.

You should have a Diag-Asia app installed, with Honda v2.01
Go inside inside that and do a full system scan.

Hey,

I did that exactly with the Diag-Asia app installed, with Honda v2.01.

No fault code or anything showed up when I turned the car on in the accessory position an ran both the hot and full scans. Besides the immobiliser code which I assume is fine.

Would it be safe to say no one over rev or mis-shifted the car?

It is safe. The overrev code is permanent and can't be cleared. My shifting was never bad, but still I changed my transmission fluid at 10,000 km. I used OEM Honda.

You might try this adjustment. I have some clunky/tumbling feeling with some shifts that wasn't there before. Others have said the following adjustment improved things for them:

Thanks, I assumed it would have shown up in one of the scans and since nothing is there didn't over rev and my concern is likely a mechanical issue with the shifter assembly itself.
