So that means if you are on a reservation for the Type R in Japan, it will take 6 months to get it?

I'm not sure about that, because according to some JP media, they said they got info from the dealer Today, even you placed an order on Aug, you still need to wait 1 year for the delivery. I don‘t know which info is correct tho, but JP Honda said more than half year.

Also sounds like it's pumping in that noise into the cabin. So the ability to adjust your vehicle... I'm assuming the noise option is to eliminate that.

The valved exhaust will open up at higher rpm.

That is most likely pumped in engine noise you control via the menu.

The valve will be dependent on engine speed.

Lot of improvements! And pretty much the specs we all were expecting by now.

Since it is unlikely a test drive is in my future - too few will be available, and even less will be available for test drives other than for media, I look forward to some of my favorite channels - Savage Geese, Throttle House, Flying Gato (especially considering Elias owns an FK8) , etc. doing a thorough review -and especially a back to back vs. the FK8.

TYPE R downforce evolution (compared to CIVIC 5 door) at 200km/h, 892N is about 90kg, anyone got the downforce number for FK8?

yep, I also got the same info from another SNS, JP folk said the dealer told him to wait about 2 years because the allocation for that particular dealer is low. just couldnt find that source

Lighter flywheel and smaller wheel + more torque should offset the weight fine. Lots of other small improvements as well.

Any word on curb weight yet? - I must confess that I did not read the entire thread.

To me, curb weight matters more than having 325 or even 335 hp.

1430kg. I believe the FK8 was 1390. So roughly 90lbs heavier.

On another note, my 2019 was white and i dont want white again. Not sure though which color i like best. Any other previous white owners that want a different color?

I’m in the same boat. All of my prior cars have been white, gray/silver, or black. I’ve grown kinda tired of them.

I’ll probably go with red this time around. It’ll stand out more, which is fine by me. If I could have it my way, I’d go for yellow, but that may have to wait until the LE.
