A cat back exhaust will free up a bit if power but you won’t see all the benefits until you tune it. But the car responds well to breathing mods. A solid 10whp is expected bolting up a upgraded catback.

I tended to assume so. At the track, I really felt it wasn't the block that couldn't perform, but the entire air system itself just seems too small and restrictive. I know it's a compromise when Honda design (cost vs. performance), but the intercooler and charge pipes, intake, and exhaust (hoping for a good one with the valve soon ) will be my wintertime work.

This sounds promising... no drone, I like Magnaflo in general, and can't wait to hear the sound clip.
Did the exhaust valve remain in this one?

Yes the Magnaflow keeps the stock exhaust valve functionality. It just costs $2400

Looks like a nice setup. The double pantleg fitting at the tip is a big improvement over the stock side taps (which if you understand the Bernoulli principle, isn't a great tap...).

I'll have to look at others that keep the valve, but this is pretty high on my list for a new weed-wacker late 90's sound.

Interesting. My parts person said this still isn’t even listed in the dealer price sheet and it’s now 2025…

Also the OP hasn’t been active on this site since August 2023 and 2 of their 4 posts was about the exhaust no one else seems to have
