Is there such thing as a padded car cover that protects from hail?

I ask because even though I have a 2 car carport on my house, my last car got about $3500 in damage on the rear hatch and quarters by some pretty extreme sideways hail a couple of years back.
It totaled lots of cars, put holes in people vinyl siding, busted out windows, etc.
Anyway, hail seems to be more and more of a thing in Arkansas, and I want a little bit more protection without having to spend $100K or more to build a garage.

Yes, there are padded car covers. You could also get one of those pop up car canopies as well.

I don't know man, I lived in Dallas and remember some baseball sized hail. I don't even think a typical garage roof can stop that stuff. I was going to build a 4 car pole barn a few years back and my quotes were around $20K. I don't know how much they are now, but that with a tin roof would be a good option if you could swing it.

Is there anyway to attach a temporary side piece or end piece on your carport in case of bad weather?

what i do if there's a hail storm coming is grab several comforters that i'm not using and drape them over the car. throw a couple pillows under it to cushion. kinda a pain in the ass to dry everything afterwards but it works. you could also get one of those pop up tents. although might be blow away by wind.
