What would it take to swap out a K20C2 and swap in a K20A2 or K20Z3? With all the NA/manual options dying out, seems like it'd be fun to have a modern civic with a screaming 8k rpm NA engine over the 1.5T.

It would take a lot, and it would get very expensive quick. The swap is doable but a lot of fabrication and have the pockets to be able to handle it.

Also ecu to control it and integrate with the dash might be a pain so you will probably need to run a separate gauge unit.

Cool. I guess I was thinking the engine mounting/transmission would have been close since they are both K series. I was thinking that wiring up the C2 ECM to the A2 harness and then retuning the engine made the most sense in my head to get around the digital dash.

I have an FL5, so purely a speculative intrusive thought

Hey I don’t blame you, I have intrusive thoughts about the spare f22c engine I have sitting in my garage lol.

It would not be as simple as wiring the stock ecm to the k20 or k24.

I just wish I could swap the induction sound from the NA K series!
