Ok I don’t know how many here have this happen but every single time I drive the car and go to get out I get static shock every single time on the day. Don’t matter if is cold or hot because on my other cars that happens when is really cold. Try to get the static thing from JDM Yamato but with shipping and everything is close to 80 dollars and I don’t know if really gone to work or if I need to drill a hole on the door to install it. Is there something else I can do to reduce this is annoying.

What I do is before getting out is to to make sure I'm touching a metal part of the door or doorframe as I'm exiting. Once I'm out of the car with both feet on the ground, then I let go of the door. The shock is from electrostatic discharge, so if you continue to touch the door as you get out, you'll be at the same electric potential as the car and thus won't get shocked.

Move somewhere where the weather is very humid. You won't get shocked, but it will rain often!

I’ve never been in a Honda that didn’t shock me. I close the door with my arm.

I've seen vehicles with grounding straps dangling under them. Looks like a strip of rubber touching the road.
I live in the AZ desert and don't have static issues, but I wear mostly cotton clothes.
