I have a 2023 1.5 turbo sedan EX since Thursday of last week in the morning when I backed out of the driveway the car was jerking there’s no odd noises then when I put it in drive it fine a couple of times it would jerk in drive when I come to a full stop. This happens intermittently I have an appointment with the dealership since the car has 3k on it now. This happens only when the car is first started the transmission feels fine good acceleration like I said no noises I also always shut off the idle stop has this happened to any body else . To add I had a 2018 EXT coupe with the CVT and the 1.5 turbo and never had a problem like this

Not gonna lie, when I read the subject I thought you were calling someone a jerk and was concerned we were gonna see a keyed car post.

But this also sucks, good luck!

Ok so it wouldn’t have any thing to do with the CVT then . Is it only when the car sits for awhile and only happens once and drives fine until you shut the car off and then start it up again?

Nope, happens most of the time when warmed up and can happen in any gear. It's not severe but it is noticeable. The only thing I can think of is the throttle plate is opening and closing when it shouldn't be dropping to fully closed. The worst one was I put the cruise on coming back from Cali and the car started jumping like it couldn't decide whether it needed to accelerate or decelerate.

Taking the car into Honda tomorrow morning we’ll see what they have to say BTW my EX is the same color as your SI actually Rallye Red was my first choice

@Shankmeyster Your clutch pedal isn’t getting caught on anything like the floor mat, right? What you describe sounds A LOT like a slipping clutch to me.

I'd hope not since the car hasn't been abused at all and only has 6k miles, but Honda clutches these days.

Well I wonder what they will say on mine since it's manual.
Yeah I mentioned to them that a SI owner on a forum was having a similar issue being that all SIs are manuals . What annoyed me this morning was the appointment was 7:00 am ( I was there at 6:45am) waiting for them to open. They asked if I was there for a oil change this is after they asked for my name obviously the two times I asked for appointment they didn’t enter that I was having a problem with the car jerking after they figured the car was jerking they told me that they have to contact tech in California which is a 3 hour difference. Ok so I let my boss at my place of employment know I’ll be off the whole day because I need a car long story short they had my car all day and waited till the end of the day to tell me the problem and it still doesn’t work right

Well I think I figured out my issue. I just looked under my hood and both of the damn screws holding my MAF in are gone. I don't know if they just loosened up or someone took them out but the MAF is just sitting in the intake tube. WTF?

I'm having a similar issue and I've done amateur testing to see if my clutch is worn. Does not seem to be. Keep us posted @Shankmeyster

It's not the clutch or it would be doing it on acceleration too.
