Hi, I have a European version of the Type R FL5, in which I plan to change the standard car audio to external (except for the radio).
As part of the work, I would like to do:
- Change the midrange and tweeter to a two-way system separated by a crossover (Morel Tempo Ultra 602 MKII) - front/rear.
- Soundproofing the front and rear doors with Dynamat Extreme butyl foil + foam between door side and door.
- MDF spacers for the speakers + foam ring around speaker
- Sumitomo 060 Type HX connectors to transfer the signal to the amplifier (high level input) (4 channels separately - rear/front)
- 5-channel amplifier - Audison 5.600 (4 channels for front/rear speakers + 5th channel for subwoofer) (the amplifier has a high level converter, I wonder if it will be enough or if I will have to connect an additional active converter, e.g. Audiocontrol LC2I PRO).
- Amplifier power cable routed from the battery (I wonder how to connect it, to the battery or to the fuse box), and the ground cable connected to the rear seats (4AWG diameter)
- High-level output cable (20AWG diameter)
- Speaker cable from the amplifier to the crossover and from the crossover to the midrange speaker (14AWG diameter)
- Speaker cable from the crossover to the tweeter (16AWG diameter)
- Speaker cable from the amplifier to the subwoofer (10AWG diameter)
In the entire parts collection, I am missing the catalog number of the right side and the subwoofer cover in the trunk. I managed to find the catalog number of the Bose subwoofer itself - 8A445-T43-A01, but I don't know the exact catalog number of this side panel...
I found these variants:
- 84601-T47-A51ZA (Sport Touring version)
- 84601-T60-A51ZA (probably Type R)
Do any of these elements fit the Type R and is it a complete side panel or do I need to buy the cover separately?
