I traded my 2010 Honda accord for a brand new 2025 Honda civic hatchback sport. I love the car and especially the factory black rims because they are the same 10 spoke design as what’s standard on the 2025 type R😊I would like to know what you guys think is the best rim cleaning product out there to keep my rims minty and protected. I would like to keep these rims as factory fresh as possible for a long time 👍Thanks for any suggestions

I used Honda polish aerosol from our local motorcycle dealer on my cbr600 f4i for literally everything and it was awesome and smelled really good💪I was thinking of going that route with micro fiber towels but not sure. You guys may know of something better

I had some left over ceramic snake oil (Cquartz UK 3.0), and used it on the wheels. I applied the coating to both my original wheels (summer tires) and OEM wheels I have for snow tires (Alpine 5's). The coating looks great, has held up well and tends to keep the wheels clean, even with brake dust.

I tend to like Chemical Guys Diablo Wheel Cleaner for cleaning. Does a great job and smells good too. For preventing (well slowing) brake dust buildup I use Amor All Outlast Brake Dust Repellant. It doesn’t prevent brake dust from gathering, but definitely slows it down!

On my old FK8 I went all out and spent quite a bit on some ceramic coat for my wheels. Supposed to be high temperature and what not. I don’t remember the brand, but it came highly recommended on the forums. All I can say is that it was a waste of time and money.

I've been trying to learn a thing or two about ceramic brands myself, crickets here. However, in the worldwide webicals, I stumbled upon gtechnia ceramic. I'll be trying that on my wheels. I've also been playing w/ some $5 "I got it at ross" stuff vs suds factory quick detailer.

i mixed a quick vid of that JIC

Thanks guys. I bought some Honda polish and microfiber towels so I will try this. I know it worked awesome on my CBR👍 so hopefully just as well on my civic hatch sport black rims😊

I tried the chemical guys Diablo wheel cleaner because the Honda polish works but takes forever. The Diablo worked well with minimal water spots and no drying. I’m looking for something you can spray on, let sit for a couple minutes then hose off with no aggitation needed. Any recommendations for a product that would work well using this method on my gloss black painted 2025 civic hatchback sport rims without damaging them at all. Thank you guys for any recommendations because they will be super appreciated ok. Anyone try the Weguires ultimate all wheel cleaner on their factory painted gloss black aluminum rims? Thank you

without agitation? That’s a tough one. I’ve tried all four of these and each one needed some agitation..

Which one do I like better? Based on my brief experience, the red bottle, hyper foam. The Armor All orange bottle was foamy without the fighting power. The black magic and rapid decon worked about the same.

If I had to do it again........🤔 I’d try a decon first and then hyperfoam.

@gdub17 I've posted this previously:

My wheels are also ceramic coated and I rotate P&S Brake Buster Total Wheel Cleaner and TUGA Devil Special Wheel Cleaner. P&S is good, but the TUGA Devil is the best wheel cleaner I've ever used. It's quite expensive so I don't use it every wash and tend to reserve it for when the wheels are dirtier than normal.

Every third wash or so I use Gyeon Q2M WetCoat on freshly cleaned wheels. Apply liberally and immediately rinse off with plenty water. The coating layered on top of a ceramic coating lasts about 3 months. It's just a little extra protection on top. Minimal effort for incremental gain.
