I just bought a 2024 Si and am very jealous of the google maps integration.
I hate using apple car play to tap into google maps.

Can you explain why integration is better? I use Waze via Carplay and seems to work great.

I know a guy who works at Honda manufacturing. He said they just did pre production trials. No wireless charger for us si but did confirm digital dash! I also dislike the new wheels (old wheels look better imo) but I think the front bumper in person looks better (altho I miss the fog lights). Interior nobs (silver) are very polished. As far as manufacturing he said they made minor changes but they make it easier for certain processes so he was happy LOL the 1.5 does NOT have the new exhaust coolant heater thing that the new 2025 2.0 has (not sure about hybrid but I can ask) he did say to check out the new grey in the sun. It’s got some nice champagne metal flake and it’s subtle but nice! I ordered crystal pearl white as I think it looks best with black accents and it’s sparkly under a streetlight 🤓 also no rear usb for us model

No satellite Radio is such a turnoff. And no, the app is simply not equivalent: slow to load, in remote areas (road trips) there are a lot of disconnects, the quality of the audio is significantly sub-par to the satellite quality.

This cost-cutting moves are, ooff. Having everything internet-connected makes the car’s infotainment pretty useless in small towns, rural areas, and when hitting the high road.

I have XM Radio in my MX-5, had it in my Passport, in My FK8, and in my 4Runner and love it. Was looking to get into a 2025 Si, but the Google Infotainment and the lack of XM is a non-starter for me. I could live with the Google integration if there was native XM.

And the 2024 Si lacks a number of basic features like heated seats, or the non-digital cluster stuff, among a couple of other gripes. Odd packaging from Honda when the Si was always at the top of the Civic chain. The FL5 would be too much for my needs.

I think the FL5 front bumper looks much better but I think it's because of the proportions and sloping to the wider fenders. I still think this is an improvement over the outgoing MY.

I'm excited to see what upgrades they have for the 2025 Type R. I expect it to be minor grille and interior improvements that can be retrofitted to earlier model years easily. Hopefully some new accessories too!
Agreed on all accounts! 👍🏻👊🏻

So we are getting the 22 Canadian Si.
Doesn’t the. Canadian Si get rear heated seats?

Honda is so cheap with stuff. Our 2023 Focus was $29k, it has:
185 hp 1.5L turbo from the Fiesta ST.
B&O stereo
Heads up display
Felt lined door pockets
Folding mirrors
Power drivers seat
Front and rear cameras (came with car)
Rear AC vents and USB ports
12.5” digital gauge cluster

Come on Honda, some of the features still missing on the Civic are ridiculous.

The Canadian Si has wayyy more features than this does. Basically we are getting their digital cluster & heated seats. All other things are part of a refresh.

Honda doesn't want to give Americans too much so they get pushed towards an integra. Honda should've kept siriusxm and added dual zone climate, fog lights, noise reduction material and rear vents. Besides the digital cluster and heated seats nothing much noteworthy here. Lacking siriusxm is a backstop imo. Color choices are also more boring since the 2022 MY.

Not to ride Honda's dick though but the Canadian pricing is also different. It's priced above their touring sedan IIRC. Doesn't change the fact the US car is still barebones for the price, or has features that nobody cares about like Honda Sense. (Besides Blind Spot Monitoring I guess)

If it wasn't for the integra I do believe Honda would have better equipped the Si. Look at the 2017-2020 Civic Si's. They are still better equipped than the 2022+ Civic Si's are. Honda definitely cheaped out and decided to throw on a better head unit and hope nobody would notice. At least heated seats are back j guess even if siriusxm is MIA now. Smh
